Literary Canada was a great success!

In their July Newsletter our partners at Rainy Day Books included a review of the Exclusive Author Event with NY Times bestselling novelist, Louise Penny.

The inspiration for “Green Gables” and the “Haunted Woods” on the way to the Lucy Maud Montgomery Homestead.

The tour members were lucky enough to tour the city of Halifax, including the Titanic Grave Site, with the witty and knowledgeable Blair Beed, local author and historian.

A Literary Tour of Italy~

Rainy Day Books and Lisa Ball Travel Design go “Under the Tuscan Sun” with Frances Mayes!  The Literary Tour to Italy (June 22 – July 5, 2015) now includes a special, once-in-a-lifetime visit to meet Frances Mayes, author of Under The Tuscan Sun in Cortona!
Frances Mayes Photo 11152013If you have dreamed of a chance to chat with Frances, and experience the inspiration for her beloved books, consider coming with us to Italy this summer!  We will spend time with Frances in Cortona, the town she has made famous!  Frances has her own wine and olive oil now as well, so we’ll learn about that.

Tuscany Italy 2The Literary Tour to Italy includes time in Venice, staying at a relaxing resort in Tuscany and a chance to visit the exquisite Cinque Terre, see Renaissance art in Florence and marvel at the ancient wonders in Rome.

Please come to a tour gathering on Sunday, April 19, 6:30 pm at Travois – 310 West 19th Terrance, Kansas City, MO.  We’ll share some wine and chat about the wonderful experiences we’ll have in Italy this summer!
(Directions to the Travois building: take Broadway to 19th Terrace and turn east around what used to be the Faultless building on the corner of 19th Terrace and Broadway.  There is a convenient large parking lot in front of the office building.)

2014 Rainy Day Book Literary Tour of England:

Recently, a literary tour of England took place.  The travelers were lucky enough to, not only enjoy some of the most historic literary sites in the world, but also meet some of the best selling authors in the country.
